As managed health care developed into a controversial subject for health care services, Hutchens PR helped clients mediate the resulting tensions among interested stakeholders. We created community campaigns throughout Southern California for several health care clients to mitigate the strong negative response by educating the general public and training healthcare providers on public relations principles. We also sponsored county-wide campaigns, from community wellness fairs to childhood immunization programs, to increase overall health awareness. The programs informed the general public on general health care issues and options available to them. Our team promoted outreach to the large Hispanic population on health care issues affecting that community.
